Philip Headley - 22-02-2012
We are sorry to report the death on 6th January of Dr Philip Headley, President of Sevenoaks Music Club. He was one of our longest-serving and most dedicated members, and a member of the Committee for many years.
Philip greatly enjoyed writing music, and his compositions - notably what he called his operettarettes - were a well-loved feature of many of the informal musical evenings that the late John Lloyd, a fellow doctor, used to organise.
More widely, Philip was well known locally as a staunch supporter of the performing arts in Sevenoaks, and was a long-time member of Sevenoaks Players and several other local organisations; he will be greatly missed
The Club committee will be devising an appropriate tribute to the memory of Philip, and will publish details as soon as possible.
