Fibonacci Sequence - 7:30 pm, Saturday 21st April 2012

The Fibonacci Sequence was founded in 1994 by its artistic director, pianist Kathron Sturrock. The group is named after Leonardo of Pisa, the great mediaeval mathematician, commonly known as Fibonacci. Of them, the Times has written: "dazzlingly good chamber ensemble...exuberantly expressive, intimate style...gorgeously idiomatic playing".

They are a very versatile group, and for our final concert of our 2011-12 Season they will demonstrate this versatility in four very different pieces, ending with one of Schubert's most joyful and popular creations.

  • Schubert: Notturno in E flat (Op posth)
  • Mozart: Piano Quartet in G minor, K478
  • Rossini: Duetto for Cello and Double Bass
  • Schubert: Quintet in A, D667 ("The Trout")
