London Baroque - 7:30 pm, Saturday 24th March 2012
Following the success of its last evening of Baroque music Sevenoaks Music Club has been asked for more! We are therefore delighted that London Baroque, one of the foremost exponents of baroque chamber music, will be performing for us during our 2011-12 season with a programme entitled Bach and Friends. This is a portrait of Bach (JS) as composer of music for the chamber, with music by friends and family as well as by the master himself.

Formed in 1978, London Baroque enjoys the position of being one of the most experienced and long-lived baroque chamber groups around. It remains loved and appreciated by audiences as much today as twenty years ago, and continues to give vital and enriching performances with all the technical perfection and musical maturity their public has come to expect.
London Baroque have performed at the Salzburg, Edinburgh, Bath, Beaune, Innsbruck, Utrecht, York Festivals, and the Stuttgart, Ansbach and Lausanne Bach festivals. They have also appeared frequently on TV and radio the world over, and tour regularly in Japan and the USA.
Their programme will feature violin, bass viol and harpsichord.
