Aquinas Piano Trio - 7.30 pm, Saturday 15th February 2014
Rapidly making a name for themselves, the Aquinas Piano Trio brings together three established performers who are solo artists in their own right. Violinist Ruth Rogers has led orchestras such as the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, and has performed as concerto soloist and recitalist. Cellist Katherine Jenkinson has devoted much of her time to chamber music and is also a member of the established Iuventus String Quartet. Acclaimed pianist Martin Cousin has made much praised recordings of sonatas by Rachmaninov and Glazunov.
The Aquinas Piano Trio will play:
- Haydn: Trio Hob. XV: 27 in C major
- Mendelssohn: Trio No 2 in C minor
- Saint-Saens: Trio No 2 in E minor
