Both on stage and in recital room, Katie Bray charms audiences with her affecting and characterful performances.
A Karaviotis scholar on the opera course at the Royal Academy of Music, taught by Elizabeth Ritchie and Iain Ledingham, Katie was awarded First Prize in the Academy's Richard Lewis Singing Competition in 2010. Last year, Katie made her solo débuts with Glyndebourne Festival Opera and English Touring Opera.
Recent solo appearances include Drummer Girl in ETO’s Der Kaiser von Atlantis, Béatrice (Béatrice et Bénédict) at theIn an interesting programme of familiar and lesser known works she performs music by Handel, Schumann, Ravel, Britten, Debussy, Elgar and Poulenc.
