Chosen by the Park Lane Group for their prestigious Young Artist Series, and now supported by the Countess of Munster Recital Scheme, Jessie is establishing herself at the forefront of young instrumentalists here and all over Europe, both as a soloist and as a founding member of the renowned Piatti String Quartet.
Her accompanist, Steinway Artist Simon Callaghan, is recognised as an exciting performer of the new generation.
They will open their recital with the second of Beethoven’s five cello sonatas, written when he was establishing a name for himself. They will end with the last of Chopin’s works published in his lifetime. In between, they will play two perennial favourites in the cello repertoire, and a short work written in 2010 by Joseph Phibbs.
