Well-established as an ensemble of talented performers offering flexibility of instrumental grouping and performances of considerable musicianship, the London Concertante presents a programme for an ensemble of clarinet, horn, bassoon and strings, including an amazing arrangement of Richard Strauss' tone poem 'Till Eulenspiegel' by Franz Hasenohrl.
The programme continues with the beguiling octet by Jean Francaix and concludes with the masterpiece of the genre, Schubert's Octet, his largest scale chamber work.
