Presenting the distinctive sound of the string trio, leading string players Roman Simović (violin), Milena Simović (viola) and Tim Hugh (cello) perform key works from the classical period including one of Mozart's finest chamber works and an early 20th-century suite by Hungarian composer Ernő Dohnányi.
Roman Simović began his music education in Lviv, Ukraine and studied at conservatoires in Serbia and Moscow. He is an experienced orchestral player and has performed as concerto soloist with leading orchestras. He was appointed Leader of the London Symphony Orchestra in 2010. Besides his solo work, Roman is an avid chamber musician and is a founding member of the Rubikon String Quartet.
Currently serving as principal violist in the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Serbian-born Milena Simović studied in Belgrade and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, which included coaching from the Belcea Quartet.
Following success at the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 1994, London Symphony Orchestra principal cellist Tim Hugh has enjoyed an international career as a soloist as well as ensemble player. He has recorded extensively, as concerto soloist, recitalist and chamber musician.
