Leonkoro Quartet

Founded in Berlin in 2019, the Leonkoro Quartet won a string of awards in 2022, among them 1st prize at the Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition and no less than 9 of the 12 special prizes, including the audience prize. They were also appointed to the pres!gious BBC Radio 3 New Genera!on Ar!sts scheme for 2022-2024. They will present three contras!ng works all written in the space of just over seventy years, opening with a Romantic single movement and concluding with the first of the three string quartets written by Brahms, published when he was 40.
