London Piano Quartet

The London Piano Quartet brings together three members of the Piatti String Quartet and pianist Simon Callaghan, of whom the Strad wrote “Velvet gloved pianism of ravishing sensitivity ”. He has played for SMC previously with the Piatti Quartet’s cellist, Jessie Anne Richardson. The Quartet will perform works from three different centuries, all by masters of the genre, finishing with the so-called “Gypsy Rondo” of Brahms’s first piano quartet. Programme:
