Volunteers
We are very short of people who could help with writing the music notes in the monthly Concert Programme. It's shared and therefore not an onerous task. Please let us know if you could help .
We occasionally need page turners when we have a piano in the concert. It's excellent experience for young would-be musicians or anyone with amateur expertise.

End of Season Celebration on April 26th
Thank you to David Elstein and Kim Packman for inviting us to a wonderful end of season celebration at their stunning home at Wilderness Hall. More than 60 members and friends enjoyed drinks and canapes in the main hall and were regaled by an outstanding performance of the late Malcolm Spence's Quintet
Thanks to Lesley Spence, Malcolm's wife and a long time member of SMC, for sponsoring the Lumas Wind Quintet who brought out the full magic of this music. Unbelievably, this was a world premier performance of this work, thanks in part to the hard work by Ian McLauchlan who produced the final score.
