The exquisite combination of Flute, Viola and Harp is celebrated in the much praised performances of the Pelléas Ensemble - Henry Roberts (Flute), Luba Tunnicliffe (Viola) and Oliver Wass (Harp), formed at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2011. In 2016 they won both the Grand Prize and the Audience Prize in the St Martin-in-the-Fields Chamber Music Competition, and won a place on the prestigious Tillett Trust Young Artists' Programme. They recently won the Royal Philharmonic Society's Henderson Chamber Ensemble Award, and the 2017 Elias Fawcett Award for Outstanding Chamber Ensemble at the Royal Overseas League competition.

They have a busy concert schedule and have established a reputation for performing their recitals from memory, which they believe creates an immediate and more intimate connection with their audiences.

Their programme will include Arnold Bax's Elegiac Trio, written  immediately after the 1916 uprising in Northern Ireland, the so-called "Easter Rising", and reflecting Bax's absorbing interest in Irish affairs and culture:

  • Arnold Bax: Elegiac Trio
  • J.S. Bach: Sonata in Eb major, for flute and basso continuo,  BWV 1031
  • André Jolivet: Petite Suite
  • Corelli: Trio Sonata in B minor Op. 2 No. 8
  • Timothy Salter: Mosaics
  • Ravel: Sonatine
