Trio Melythnia

Trio Melythnia is made up of three renowned musicians, Klio Blonz (flute), Rebecca Hepplewhite (cello) and Grace Mo (piano). They will open their concert with one of the three keyboard trios by Haydn (out of about 45) in which a flute features. There follows a transcription, Schumann’s original being for horn and piano. Following Hummel’s variations on a Russian theme, the mood will change with the pieces by Gaubert and Enesco. The concert will end with a work by the only woman to be appointed professor at the Paris Conservatoire in the 19th century.
